Playful plates will always make the little ones just a bit more excited! Fruit animals like this berry butterfly are almost as adorable as they are delicious.

Ingredients

1/2 cupNutella

14Driscoll's blueberries

5Driscoll's strawberries, sliced

1granny smith apple, sliced

2regular pancakes

1mini pancake

2toothpicks

Method

  1. Strawberries

    Hull and slice strawberries into 1.5 cm thick round pieces, a total of 10 slices. Slice the granny smith apple, reserving 6 slices. Cut in half 1 regular size pancake. Skewer 1 blueberry onto each toothpick, set aside.

  2. Pancakes

    Place the mini pancake for the head and the regular pancake for the body on your serving plate. Spread Nutella on both pancakes. Then place your 2 pancake halves on top of the regular pancake exposing some of the Nutella.

  3. Ladybug

    Assemble berry ladybug's head by placing two blueberries on the mini pancake for the eyes. Adding the blueberry toothpicks for its antenna. Assemble berry ladybug's body by placing five sliced strawberries on each half of the pancakes. Place and center a blueberry on each sliced strawberry. For the final touch, place your 6 apple slices on the right-hand side of the ladybug.
