Mixed Berry French Toast Kebabs

Impress your loved ones with these sophisticated Mixed Berry French toast kebabs. Surprisingly easy to make, they will be a hit at your next brunch event or great for the little ones to help make!

  • Method

    1. Preheating the frying pan

      Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat.

    2. Preparing the egg mixture

      Crack 2 eggs into a medium bowl and whisk eggs thoroughly. Add ¼ cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon maple syrup, then whisk to combine. Set aside. Melt butter in a frying pan.

    3. Frying the brioche slices

      Dip brioche bread slices into the egg mixture, one at a time. Fry slices for around 2 minutes per side or until both sides are golden brown. Adjust heat settings accordingly.

    4. Assembling the French toast kebabs

      Cut each French toast slice into 7 cubes. Skewer three French toast cubes, 1 raspberry and 1 strawberry per skewer. Dust skewers with icing sugar and drizzle with maple syrup. Serve immediately.

    1 Tablespoon maple syrup
    1-2 Tablespoons butter
    3 Slices brioche bread
    7 sturdy 25cm bamboo skewers
    7 Driscoll’s Raspberries
    7 Driscoll’s Strawberries, hulled
    1 Tablespoon icing sugar
    More maple syrup for serving
