Impress your loved ones with these sophisticated Mixed Berry French toast kebabs. Surprisingly easy to make, they will be a hit at your next brunch event or great for the little ones to help make!
2eggs
1/4 Cupmilk of your choice
1 tspvanilla extract
1 Tbspmaple syrup
1-2 Tbspbutter
3 slicesbrioche bread
7sturdy 25cm bamboo skewers
7Driscoll's raspberries
7Driscoll's strawberries, hulled
1 Tbspicing sugar
more maple syrup for serving
Preparation
Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat.
Egg mixture
Crack 2 eggs into a medium bowl and whisk eggs thoroughly. Add ¼ cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon maple syrup, then whisk to combine. Set aside. Melt butter in a frying pan.
Brioche slices
Dip brioche bread slices into the egg mixture, one at a time. Fry slices for around 2 minutes per side or until both sides are golden brown. Adjust heat settings accordingly.
Serving
Cut each French toast slice into 7 cubes. Skewer three French toast cubes, 1 raspberry and 1 strawberry per skewer. Dust skewers with icing sugar and drizzle with maple syrup. Serve immediately.
